Pip Edwards, born in Coonabarabran, NSW and moved to Melbourne where she was educated and started her art career.  She was formally trained in Fine Art at Monash University, Caulfield, and Graphic Design at RMIT.

She has had a varied career from book illustration, mural art, painting and mosaic exhibitions, Community Arts Projects, Artist in Residency, guest speaker at Heidi Museum of Modern Art and teaching from her own studio in Glen Waverley, Melbourne since 2002.

Pip’s specialty is her knowledge of colour, which she teaches as a specialty unit called Mastering Colour. She is a painter of still lifes as her main subject matter and a mosaic artist.

Pip’s love and enthusiasm of teaching is equal to her love of creating her own art.

Painting and drawing skills are essential to being an artist, which is where Pip’s strength as an artist lies, as well as her ability to teach her students these skills effectively.
