“My daughter has been learning Art with Pip since about 2 years and its one of her favourite activities. Not only has my daughter improved at art, she loves it even more now. The environment is encouraging as well as Pip’s teaching methods are good. I would highly recommend Art Studio 48.”

“My child has been attending Pip’s art lessons for several terms now, and absolutely loves it. Definitely a highlight of the week. Pip gives terrific instruction, and the quality of the art pieces the children produce is amazing. Thank you for being a fantastic art teacher, Pip!”

“My daughter is learning art with Pip since the beginning of this year and she loves it! She likes the smaller class sizes and the different ways of learning where she couldn’t find it from other places. Not only does she learn a lot but also enjoying the classes so much. Highly recommend Art Studio 48 to any adults or kids who are interested in Arts!”

The curriculum
A full year of real progression.
Every term has its own focus, but they connect into one continuous skill-building journey, not four unrelated craft projects.
1
TERM 1
Learning to Draw
Foundational technique (scale, tone, angles and perspective) balanced with “Accidental Art,” a right-brain, imagination-led process that builds storytelling and confidence alongside the technical skills.
2
TERM 2
Into Acrylic Painting
Starting with the tonal ladder: how tone builds 3D form and depth. This term’s “Urban Landscape” theme works with just 1–2 colours to build real colour-mixing confidence.
3
TERM 3
Mastering Colour and Design
Deeper colour mixing in acrylic paint, combining colour theory from light and observation, exploring how colours and colour families can carry emotional expression, creating designs with both harmony and contrast.

TERM 4
Creative Watercolour
Letting the medium lead: line, shape, colour, texture and flow take centre stage in this looser, more expressive term close to the end of the year.
